Please Help Us "Walk Off Parkinson's"
I am extremely honored to serve as Vice Chair of the Board of the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA) -- a great organization working to improve the qualify of life for people living with Parkinson's. In fact, it was named one of the best small charities in the Greater Washington Region by the Catalogue for Philanthropy.
On September 24, 2017, I will be participating in PFNCA's "Walk Off Parkinson’s" at Nationals Park to help raise funds for this organization.
That day, we will gather with thousands of others to show that those facing this disease do not do so alone. The funds we raise will support people diagnosed with the disease, their care partners and their family members.
PFNCA provides programs and services directly to those touched by Parkinson’s. While there is no cure for PD, research suggests that those diagnosed with it can take steps to slow the progress of the disease. Funds raised during the "Walk Off Parkinson's" event will be used by PFNCA, among other things, to continue providing exercise, communication and education programs in communities across Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Please make a tax-deductible contribution today by clicking on the "DONATE NOW" link. If you prefer to donate by check (which saves on credit card processing fees), please make your check payable to PFNCA and mail to PFNCA, 8830 Cameron St. #201, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Kindly write my name in the memo line.
PFNCA is not affilaited with any of the many national organizations that focus on Parkinson's. Your support provides for a powerful and vibrant community helping those with Parkinson's live well.
