2018 PFNCA Walk Off Parkinson's

Andy's Army

Andy's Army is called to active duty to help those facing Parkinson's!

Helen and I are participating in Walk Off Parkinson’s on September 30, 2018 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. to benefit the Parkinson’s Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA).  Our participation is in honor of the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Open Pickleball Tournament presented by DARCARS, whose theme is Playing to help others (October 6 and 7 in Arlington, VA).  Our goal is to raise $5,000.

We will gather with thousands of others impacted by Parkinson’s to show those facing this disease that they do not do so alone.  We will walk the field at Nationals Park and raise funds to support those impacted by Parkinson’s - people diagnosed with the disease, care partners and their family members.  Please join our cause!

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2011 and have benefitted directly from the resources at PFNCA.

PFNCA is a leading organization providing programs and services directly to those impacted by Parkinson’s.  While there is no cure for PD, research tells us that those diagnosed with it can take steps to slow how the disease impacts them. PFNCA provides exercise, communication and education programs throughout Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Please make a tax-deductible contribution today.  You can make a donation now by clicking on the "Donate Now" button (upper right) or you can send your donation by check (saving on credit card proccessing fees) payable to Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA) to:

8830 Cameron St., #201

Silver Spring, MD 20910

Please be sure to write Walk Off Parkinson's and our team name -- Andy's Army -- in the memo line.

Here's an added incentive....

Once we raise $2,500, I get to take three of you to BATTING PRACTICE at NATS' STADIUM on September 30! (Let me know if you'd like to be one of the three.)

We're having fun and raising money for a great cause. Let's reach our goal, and maybe have you knock out a few hits! (Video to follow?...)

Together, we will Walk Off Parkinson’s.  Thanks in advance for your generous contribution!
